JAN. 25th Run for the Roses at Almaden Valley Nursery

  • 10:00am
  • Admission: Free
  • Over 1,500 roses will be at Almaden Valley Nursery. We will hear a talk about the different varieties of roses, planting and pruning techniques, and receive a handout on roses as well as a fertilizer sample. 
  • 10% discount on ALL potted plants (not just roses)

JAN. 31st –  Replace Your Lawn Class 

  • If you were registered for the canceled Jan. 10th class, you are automatically registered to attend the Jan. 31st class and will be sent a zoom link.
  • Guest Speakers: UC Master Gardeners, Santa Clara CountyMonique and Jennifer
  • General Membership meeting at 7pm via Zoom. All members will receive the link via email.

FEB. 4th UC Santa Cruz Arboretum

  • 11am (1 – 1.5 hours)
  • Admission: $10/person
  • This is a public docent-led tour given the 1st Saturday of each month.  Meet your guide(s) by the entrance to the visitor parking lot.
  • Tour will be canceled if the weather is unsuitable.

– NOT ADA COMPLIANT: Because paths and walkways are covered with either fine gravel or rock, the Gardens have limited access for wheelchairs.

APR. 15 Spring Plant Sale & Garden Fair at Martial Cottle Park from 9:00 am–2:00 pm
– A sustainable gardening showcase, talks about conserving water, premier plant sale, children’s garden, recipes from the Drink What You Grow Garden and educational fair. Sales benefit the UC Master Gardener program.

Private Garden tour for WGGC members only   
– 36-acre property in Los Gatos hills off Hwy 17 at Summit Rd.

APRIL – MAY Date to tour is TBD – Nola’s Iris Garden at Prevost Ranch – The date will be determined by when the irises begin to bloom.
